Project of the Year Award
The NCSITE Outstanding Project Award is bestowed each year on a project that applied innovative techniques to a transportation-related issue/problem in a planning, design, or operations effort.
This award is not intended for research or construction projects. Projects that will benefit the profession through a greater understanding of a transportation issue and for the betterment of the public through effective and innovative solutions are encouraged to be submitted for consideration. The emphasis is on an applied project that has demonstrated characteristics as defined in criteria described below.

Eligibility and Criteria
Projects must meet the following to be eligible for this award:
- The project reached substantial completion within the two years prior to submission.
- A NCSITE member had a significant role in the project.
- The project involves transportation planning, design, or operations.
