BUILD NC Endorsed at Today’s House Select Committee on Strategic Transportation Planning and Long Term Funding Solutions

For over a year the House Select Legislative Committee has been working with executives of the North Carolina Department of Transportation to advance transportation initiatives.  Today this legislative body unanimously passed a resolution to introduce legislation to augment the STIP with a $3 billion bond program specifically targeting the Strategic Transportation Initiative – Regional and Local transportation needs.   Secretary Jim Trogdon provided a compelling justification followed by endorsements by: Carolinas AGC, ACECNC, NC Chamber of Commerce, Asphalt Pavers Association, the League of Municipalities, and NC GO.
