Trip Generation Data Submission
We Need Your Help Encouraging Data Collection
As an ITE District, Section, Chapter, you are receiving this email to request your assistance in collecting data for the upcoming 10th edition of the Trip Generation Manual.
We rely on the voluntary submittal of data from the transportation community to produce this valuable reference. The 10th edition of the Trip Generation Manual will be more comprehensive than ever before and be a foundational building block to creating the next generation of Trip Generation. It will:
- Include an urban, people-based approach;
- Differentiate among data collected for urban, suburban, and rural sites; and
- Provide vehicular and person trip generation data by travel mode.
In order to accomplish this goal, participation at all levels is required. Widespread participation is critical for ITE to improve this resource and to ensure delivery of the most accurate and up-to-date information available.
It’s easy to submit data! Data can be submitted to us via our online portal or via hard copy. If you are short on time and/or resources, you can submit the data you have directly to us without entering it into either data collection tool. Questions about data submittal can be directed to Lisa Fontana Tierney at firstname.lastname@example.org or 202-785-0060 ext 116.
Act Now! The deadline of December 15 is quickly approaching. Help us help you do your jobs by making sure the 10th edition of the Trip Generation Manual has the data you need/Encourage people to submit data to insure transportation professionals have the data they need.
