Event Review: 2015 Annual Meeting

The 2015 NCSITE Annual Meeting proved to be the largest and arguably the most active annual meeting in the Section’s history.  Over 325 attendees descended upon the NCSU McKimmon Center Thursday, November 12 to learn about issues and projects from  the past year and share in fellowship with other members.  Meeting highlights included:

  • Opening remarks from ITE International President-Elect Paula Flores Benway;
  • A keynote address filled with engineering admiration and humor from author Scott Huler;
  • Presentations on the two NCSITE Project of the Year nominees, awarded to the Six Forks Corridor Study;
  • Lunch presentation by and awarding of the Contribution to Transportation Award to NC Chamber of Commerce;
  • Presentation of the inaugural Matthew Bell Memorial Scholarship;
  • Installation of the 2016 NCSITE Board and introduction of NCSITE NEXT initiative by President Elect Todd Delk; and
  • NCSITE M&Ms!!!
